Who I am

IRON AUNTIES is a coaching business run by Yvette Coetzee, a sole proprietor based in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. I am responsible for the personal information collected through ironaunties.com. You can reach me at yvette@ironaunties.com.

What I collect

When you complete the Starting Point assessment, I collect your answers, your first name, your email address and, if you choose to give them, your last name and phone number. This includes whether you would like to train online or in person and, for in-person training, the area you live in. Some answers touch on your health and training history. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing.

If you become an in-home training client, I also collect your home address so I can come to you, your health screening questionnaire (the PAR-Q+), and any note from your doctor that you choose to share with me. This is health information, and I treat it with extra care.

When you book a call, the booking calendar collects your name, email address and the time you pick.

When you email me, I receive whatever you put in your message.

The website also records the page you were on and, if you arrived from a link that carries campaign tags (for example from a newsletter or an ad), those tags. It does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Why I collect it

I use your information to understand where you are starting from, to prepare for our call, to reply to you, and, if you become a client, to coach you. If you tick the box to hear from me, I will also send you occasional emails. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or writing to me.

I do not sell, rent or trade your information, and I do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Where it is kept

I use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each one only receives what it needs:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores assessment answers and contact details in a private database that only I can sign in to.
• Google Workspace provides my email and the booking calendar.
• Resend delivers the notification email I receive when someone completes the assessment.

Your home address, health screening and any doctor's notes are kept in my private client records. I only share them with someone else if you ask me to, for example with your doctor.

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long I keep it

If we don't end up working together, I delete your assessment and contact details within two years of our last contact, or sooner if you ask. Client records are kept for as long as you are a client and for six years afterward, which is how long the Canada Revenue Agency asks businesses to keep records.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email yvette@ironaunties.com and I will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
